ABOUT:

These workshops will be will be held over the month of January 2015 at Middleton Beach. The aim is to help students interpret nature in their own creative way and to pass on skills that I have spent may hours practicing. The workshops have something for photographers of all levels, and it is hoped that you walk away at the end of them with a piece of the beautiful Albany region that you are proud display on your wall. It will cover theorys of composition and exposure, as well as inspiring you to find another level with your photography. We will put these theories into practice through a number practical exercises

• Beginners - From Auto to Manual - Tuesdays 6, 13, 20, 27 December - 1pm-3pm. Will focus on exposure & composition for the beginner photographer. For anyone wanting to take more  creative control over your DSLR camera by using the manual settings, this course is a must.
• Creative Landscapes - Thursdays 8, 15, 22, 29 - 5.30pm-7.30pm - Intermediates. This session is designed for anyone that has the basic skills of digital photography and wishing to take their photography to another level. Course content includes, balancing ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture for optimum results, long exposures, shooting panoramas, and how to find the best composition within a landscape. We will do the practical component at Ellen Cove, walking distance from the lecture room.
• Masterclass Tour - Saturdays 10, 17, 24, 31 - 5pm-9pm - Beginners to Advanced. Meeting at the Three Anchors Exhibition Centre, we will prepare ourselves for out trip with some theory about the excursion and the type of photos we will be aiming to capture, and then off to explore! The excursions will rotate between a few different locations depending on weather and requests. They will mainly focus on the Stirling Ranges, Little Beach, various locations around Frenchmans Bay. When registering, please state your preference of location and interest.
• Photoshop & Lightroom - Sunday 11, 18, 25, (1 feb) - 1-3pm All Standards. You are encouraged to bring in photography that you have taken from the beautiful albany region, and we will go through the workflow from start to finish of how to edit it to turn it into a peice of art for you to get printed on your wall.

• DAILY - $70 (two hour sessions on the tuesday, thursday and Sunday

- a digital dslr camera (or camera with manual settings)
- a tripod (for the second session only)
- a fully charged battery and the largest memory card you have!
